Hey everyone 👋🏼

Just looking for some reassurance. I had 5 day FET on Tuesday (2nd March) and I’ve got a small amount of spotting.

Background info: This is my 3rd cycle, last 2 resulted in negatives. Cycle 1 (fresh) I started spotting on day 8 and Cycle 2 (frozen) I started spotting on day 5.

Blastocysts have all been 4BB and above so good quality, they just so far, have not stuck.

I’m sure the bleeding is nothing to worry about but because this happened before I’m worried.

I’m taking 10mg of Progynova and 25mg Lubion injection each day. This time round I’ve been taking 75mg of Asprin and also having acupuncture. Both I didn’t do on my first two rounds.

Anyway, thanks in advance

Amy xx

Hi @AmyLeanne1987
Hopefully someone will come along soon who has had spotting and a bfp. Everything I’ve read indicates you can’t use spotting to confirm either way. I’m also in the two week wait so know how you are feeling about comparing symptoms to previous cycles! Currently I’m having sharp cramps down my left hand side and worrying if this means it’s not worked as had that on my previous failed transfers!. Hope you are coping okay with the 2WW.

AmyLeanne1987 · 06/03/2021 18:53

@GreyGoose1980 Hey 👋🏼 I’ve had a few cramps too. I’m hoping it’s all implantation. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

What date did you transfer? Hope you are doing ok 👌🏼

I’m ok, just dreading testing, I know everyone is excited for that but I dreaded it last time too. Having the thought I could be pregnant is so lovely I don’t want it to end 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hi @AmyLeanne1987 Just wanted to say I’m in the same boat - I had my transfer on Wednesday and had a very small amount of pink spotting yesterday and the day before. Obviously have frantically googled and everything seems to say don’t worry. I had a failed FET in October with no spotting so am trying not to read too much into it either way. Hope you and @GreyGoose1980 are doing ok, the wait is excruciating...

AmyLeanne1987 · 07/03/2021 19:32

Hey 👋🏼 @raxel sorry to hear you are in the same boat! It’s nerve wrecking isn’t it?!

I am dreading test day. Especially with it being Mother’s Day the day after.

My last failed was October too - was a chemical.

Still spotting today! Hoping it will stop 🤞🏼

I had a fresh transfer with bleeding 6dpt and chemical pregnancy. I then had a FET and had bleeding again so convinced it hadn’t worked but BFP and now 15 months old baby asleep upstairs I thought all my “symptoms” were the same in both cases so convinced the FET hadn’t worked but it did so although I have no answers that is my story

Folklore9074 · 08/03/2021 12:54

Hello there - I had some spotting after my transfer in Feb and had a BFP. It is still very early days for me. I've had spotting since the BFP, fluctuating symptoms and I have a viability scan next week so not sure if my spotting can necessarily be taken as much evidence that spotting = fine. But my clinic said it isn't necessarily anything to worry about. Hope that helps.

raxel · 08/03/2021 13:11

@AmyLeanne1987 How are you doing today? I have also continued very light spotting every day since last Friday (including today) and don't really have any symptoms at all other than the spotting. It's hard not to read negative things into it! We have the same text day and I agree, I'm also not really looking forward to it :(

But thanks to @Noideamuma and @Folklore9074 for their positive stories - it's so helpful to hear from those who've been there before. @Folklore9074 congrats on your BFP and really hope your viability scan goes well

raxel · 08/03/2021 13:12

Test* not text!

GreyGoose1980 · 08/03/2021 18:07

Hi everyone

This 2WW is so tough! @AmyLeanne1987 and @raxel - hope you are bearing up okay and glad to hear it does sound like spotting is quite normal.

I’m still having quite sharp pains on my left hand side, they feel different to period pains as higher up. I’m trying not to worry but have had them for my last two unsuccessful transfers.

@Folklore9074 - best wishes for your viability scan. It feels like the 2WW is the first hurdle then the scan is the next one!

AmyLeanne1987 · 08/03/2021 20:06

@Noideamuma Glad it all worked out for you and you have a lovely 15 month old, congratulations 🤍 I’m the same, all 3 cycles so far seem to have same patterns so worried. Thank you for sharing your experience xx

@Folklore9074 congratulations, hope all goes well next week for you. I’ve heard the same and know that it can be normal, just wish u didn’t have the spotting 😬 keep us updated on the scan, do you get a photo? I’ve never got that far. xx

@raxel sorry to hear you are having spotting, it’s such a horrible symptom/side effect isn’t it. 😢 I’ve continued spotting today. It’s not loads but still not what I want to see. Hope you are ok xx

@GreyGoose1980 oh bless you. I have a few twinges/cramps which I didn’t really have with the 2 other cycles. I have everything crossed for you 🤞🏼 xx

@AmyLeanne1987 How are you doing today? My clinic tests progesterone during the TWW, I had my test yesterday and it was a teeny bit under where they like it to be so I've added in an extra Cyclogest pessary (what a joy that is...!). The spotting has stopped for me, but I'm sure that's just the extra progesterone masking whatever might be going on. Hope you're feeling OK xx

@GreyGoose1980 have your cramps improved? It's so hard not to analyse everything, isn't it? Hope you're doing well today too :)

AmyLeanne1987 · 09/03/2021 18:44

@raxel that’s interesting, where do you live? Which country? I may ask my clinic about that. I doubt they will do it though. I’ve always said I felt my hormone levels aren’t high enough, so it would be interesting if that is the case. I take Lubion injection and not the pessaries as they irritated my badly on my first cycle. Worst experience.

I had a bad day today, quite upset. The spotting was a little worse this morning. I spoke to the clinic and they put my mind at rest for now anyway.

Hey @AmyLeanne1987 So sorry to hear you had a bad day. I'm glad your clinic was reassuring and hope your spotting has subsided a bit now. I know it's not all that helpful to compare yourself with other people, but in the course of my googling I did come across a ton of stories of people who'd had spotting - sometimes quite a lot of it - in their 2WW and gone on to have BFPs and healthy pregnancies. Hopefully we'll both turn out to be more of those stories. I'm in the UK. I don't know that progesterone testing is standard here, though, but it's something my clinic happens to do. I'm also taking Lubion but was already taking one Cyclogest on top of that and now taking two. It's a real progesterone party over here...!

Folklore9074 · 10/03/2021 16:47

Hi all - I had another slightly scary incident of bleeding last night. It stopped after a couple of hours but I was convinced that was it, game over. So I called the clinic today and we moved my scan forward. We saw a heartbeat and everything is okay - touch wood. They did a video on my phone of the heartbeat for my partner and printed a couple of pictures for us to take home. We are so relived, I can't even tell you. I've spent the past week convinced that because my symptoms have pretty much disappeared that I was miscarrying but its fine, looks like I might just be someone that doesn't get dramatic pregnancy symptoms and the docs said not to worry about it.

AmyLeanne1987 · 10/03/2021 17:28

@raxel spotting still very much there. Frustrating, but guess only a few days to find out what the deal is. I have 1 symptom that I didn’t have on my last 2 rounds which is sore breasts.

How are you doing? Spotting still not there?

@Folklore9074 oh how worrying for you! It’s so lovely you have that heart beat. You can listen to it all the time, how re-assuring for you both. Xxx

OP posts:
raxel · 10/03/2021 18:03

@Folklore9074 wonderful to hear that all is well with your little one, despite the bleeding :)

@AmyLeanne1987 my spotting has disappeared with the extra progesterone, yes, but as I said I feel like that's just kind of covering up whatever might be going on so it doesn't feel all that reassuring! Still no other symptoms for me, it's all so....ugh! You're right, though, only a few days until we know one way or another. Hang in there xx

AmyLeanne1987 · 10/03/2021 18:05

@raxel I know what you mean. I’ve got everything crossed for you. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

GreyGoose1980 · 10/03/2021 18:32

@Folklore9074 - so pleased you have a heartbeat. I know you can’t really compare any one pregnancy with another but if it’s any reassurance my sister had two bleeds one in early pregnancy and one later on, she got checked out both times and all was okay. DN arrived safely and full term!

@raxel and @AmyLeanne1987 - this wait is taking for ever. I’ve been up and down these last few days. I now have that heavy period pain feeling but am trying to ignore it! Hope you are both okay. As you say - only a few more days to go. I’ve decided I’ll test on 10 days post transfer which is Sat although my official test date is Mon. I think I’ll get a pretty accurate reading by Sat and will still test Sun and Mon too.

raxel · 10/03/2021 19:33

@GreyGoose1980 we'll all be in it together come Saturday, then! Crossing my fingers for you in advance...x

GreyGoose1980 · 10/03/2021 19:46

Thanks @raxel - you too. X

GreyGoose1980 · 13/03/2021 08:45

Not looking good for us - BFN today although official test day is Monday at 12 days post transfer. Still crossing my fingers for you ladies xx

AmyLeanne1987 · 13/03/2021 09:02

@GreyGoose1980 BFN for me too! Devastated is an understatement!

So sorry for you too! Definitely test again Monday xx
