Hi everyone! Had a 5 day blastocyst transferred yesterday and today I'm having burning pain and spotting bright red!! I'm so worried that it's already failed but surely it's too early for my period! I've done a complete natural cycle so not on any medication!

@Poppyfig18 as far as I’m aware this is very common, sometimes I’ve bled a bit after a smear test. So early after the transfer, the most likely explanation is that there’s been some mild trauma during the procedure. If you’re worried you can call your clinic to let them know. If it were me I wouldn’t be worried. I hope it settles for you soon

@Gardenlady543 really?! I've been sat here on Google all day on the verge of tears. So worn down by all of it!! And I couldn't fine anyone else that has been through the same thing at all! Thank you for slightly putting my mind at ease! Of course ei shall continue to Google way into the night xxx

@Poppyfig18 please stop the googling and try and relax. You can give your clinic a call tomorrow for reassurance.

Hey @Poppyfig18! I had the same thing on the same day of my transfer and also the day after. It was a bit of bright red spotting. Called the clinic and they said it was completely normal and likely some cervix irritation. It stopped pretty quickly. Try not to worry about it, I'm sure it'll be ok, but it might be worth calling the clinic tomorrow for peace of mind.

@ohsheglows did you.... Okay I'm starting to calm down a little. I think because I didn't have any last transfer I was surprised...and the clinic hadn't told me to expect it. I shall be ringing in the morning.. Might ask for some progesterone to put me at ease. Thank you!! xx

@Poppyfig18 no problem! My clinic didn't mention any bleeding either which is why I was panicking. But they were very chilled about it and said it wouldn't affect chances of implantation. I hope this alleviates some of your worries!
