Hello all! Our long cycle was unsuccessful due to poor quality embryos, it was felt more likely a sperm issue but in case of any egg quality issues I was changed to short protocol. Had 11 eggs last time this time was expecting 8 and turned out to have 20! However 8 of these were too abnormal to be injected (we are having icsi), last time out of 11 I only had 2 abnormal eggs. And of those injected (I asked the embrologists if this meant my egg quality was poor) 6 were good enough to be injected but 'not great quality'.
Could the massive drop in quality be down to the protocol or an egg quality issue? Is there any way to tell?
I'm feeling so disheartened with these results.
I'm under 35 so 'young' in IVF terms.
