Letrozole

Hi! I have started Letrozole this month for Lean PCOS - came off the pill a year ago and had 1 period. My ovaries are badly polycystic. I had a tracking scan on day 12 and was told I had 1x 18mm follicle and 2 x17mm follicles and that I would ovulate in the next few days.
I have had cramping but all of the ovulation tests have come back pretty much negative (except the flashing smiley on clear blue that refuses to go static for me!!) and I'm now on day 16
I was wondering, is it possible to have good follicles developing and then not actually ovulate?

I wouldn't pay any attention to OPKs as they're not accurate for PCOS women. Assume you've been trying since your scan? I wouldn't be surprised if you have ovulated or about to but follicles need to get to 18-24mm for ovulation. Good luck 🤞🏻

Are you temping and checking your cervical mucus and/or cervix height/firmness as well? Some women (with PCOS or not) don't show results clearly on the ovulation tests - so need to use multiple methods, comparing month to month to see when we likely ovulate.

Some of us also have to check ovulation test sticks 2 or 3 times a day, rather than once, as it can be easy to miss your LH peak. If you have had cramps and a flashing smiley (even though it's not a static), that would suggest to me you have likely ovulated (although the only way to be sure would be a blood test).

I gave up on the OPKs but I've had v sore nipples for past week or so, so assuming I've ovulated. On day 26 now so hoping for either period or positive news on the weekend! Having some cramps this Eve so think probably period. At least the Letrozole has done its job!

Hi, have you had day 21 bloods taken to check if ovulated?

@SammyG0303 have you also been given gonosi as trigger shot?
I am also very badly pcos and just done letrozole
