I need your help with Norethisterone!

Hi,

I had a first IVF cycle in Dec-Jan, using Norethisterone 5mg twice a day (10mg in total) before starting the stims. All was good.

For this 2nd cycle, I started taking Norethisterone last saturday, same dose. However, it seems to have a much stronger impact on my brain (i had a psychotic episode 7 years ago, so we are careful), and my Dr just told me to reduce to 5mg once a day only for the donwregulation of this new cycle.

My question is: has anyone taking only 5mg norethisterone for the downregulation cycle and everything went OK in terms of cycle outcome?

@Sophfr17 your doctor will know best so best to follow them. I was on three tablets a day for a week so technically 15mg but my friend who has not long had her transfer from IVF was taking one tablet a day 5mg and everything with her was fine.

As far as I'm aware all this is doing is delaying your period until a certain date that will work in with them. Don't stress too much.

I took the second pill yesterday evening (so 10 in total). I shouldn't have, i woke up not felling good.... so i will take only one today, this evening.

My worry is that this dose (5mg) wont be enough to delay my periods, and that it would have a negative impact on the outcome of this cycle :(
I am so overwhelmed and anxious... at least this dose worked for your friend, so i am a bit reassured.
