Spotting on same day of egg transfer

Hi all, had my first ever egg transfer today. I've just noticed some light bright red spotting. But it's definitely not heavy bleeding. Google is terrifying me and his thrown up some articles saying that if there's blood on the catheter, it reduces the chance of it implanting!

Did any of you have the same spotting on the same time of the transfer?

Hi @ohsheglows - I know it is stressful to see any spotting but I'm pretty sure a lot of women have a bit of spotting after egg transfer. It is nothing to worry about and is generally because the doctor may have had to manipulate your cervix to insert the embryo. Good luck with your TWW. Sending you lots of positive vibes xx

@Jane1284 thank you for replying. I think I'm just nervous as the clinic didn't warn me about any spotting, and then of course google threw up some negative things about blood during the procedure! I think I just need to stop stressing and keep distracted during the 2WW!

My clinic told me I may have a bit of spotting after ET but I didn't notice any. Don't beat yourself up, it is such an intense procedure to go through and it is only natural to overthink and worry about things. I would like to say it gets better on subsequent rounds but I know for me I was just as stressed on our second round as the first. All the hormones and drugs don't help either. I really hope your 2WW results in a BFP!
