Confusion around FSH levels

I had my FSH measured a few months ago on CD14, the day before I ovulated. My level was 3 iu/l.

Then last month I had my FSH tested on CD3 and it was 7 iu/l.

I know CD3 is the 'proper' time to test FSH. But I've been looking online at research around FSH fluctuation throughout a cycle. All the graphs and articles show that FSH is relatively low at the start of the cycle, then it peaks just before ovulation, then goes down again.

So how can it be that my FSH on CD3 was so much higher than my FSH on CD14?

FYI I am 25 years old and been TTC for about 12 months

I'm by no means an expert but I would assume it's just because it's a different month and they vary?

When I had mine tested recently I was also given the normal ranges which I've set out below and I would think from reading this that yours are normal (follicular stage is day 3 and day before you ovulate mid cycle)? But ofc best to check with doc!

Follicular stage = 3.5-12.5
Mid cycle= 4.7-21.5
Luteal= 1.7-7.7
Post menopausal= 25.8-138.4
