Hello,

I am on the waiting list for IVF. I have been awaiting results of my AMH blood test, during my consultation I was told they would write to me with the results. However they have tried to phone me! Sent me an email yesterday to double check my number, I rang them and doctor was in clinic and didn't get round to calling me back. She is now off until Monday. Nurse can't give me the result. I am panicking they have phoned me as my reserve is low (maybe i have none!) driving myself a little crazy. Did anyone else get a phone call instead of a letter?

Thank you Smile

We had to go in for an appointment, so I’m
Not sure!

Maybe call them again? There must be another doctor!

My clinic always telephones with results, regardless of what they are 😊

Also I'm sure you can ask for your result from a nurse or receptionist (they are your medical records after all) - you just won't be able to discuss what it means until you speak to a doctor. When I was anxiously chasing a beta HCG result and the doctor wasn't available I asked the receptionist to read me the result and she agreed but said I would need to discuss what it meant with the doctor. In my case I knew what I was looking for however so this might not work for you if you don't know what your results should be.
Good luck!

Hi both, thank you! Sounds like phoning rather than writing is usual practice. I am 40 in October and my periods have drastically changed over the past 18 months, so i have been worried I am in perimenopause. Hence why them phoning worried me. Roll on Monday.
