Had to egg collection today. When I left I was told my donor sperm sample was looking fine but on the taxi home I got a call from the embryologist that the sperm tails were looking curved so they were worried they would't swim naturally to the egg even though the motility was good and that I should do ICSI. I wasn't given a lot of time to make the decision and to be honest I feel like I was really given much of a choice. Part of me wonders if the clinic was just looking for another way to make money off me as they originally billed me for ICSI and I had a sneaking suspicion they would request it today.
Would love to hear some positive stories about ICSI please to reassure my anxious mind!
