Hot flushes on Clomid

Evening,

I just wondered how long after stopping Clomid the hot flushes stop? I had my first cycle last month of 100mg and not allowed it this cycle as I over responded to it last month (awaiting repeat scan) but omg the night time hot flushes are driving me insane! I'm usually such a cold person too and normally sleep in a hoodie and leggings but at the minute I can barely bear underwear! Someone please tell me it goes soon 🙏

Hi, when I was on clomid it varied each month. Some months the flushes would carry on quite a while after taking the last tablet, and some months they would seem to stop pretty much as soon as I'd ovulated. You have my sympathy they are awful, it's the way they creep up and slowly get worse and worse!
I also had flashing lights one month but luckily that didn't happen again.

@elsaesmeralda it's horrible isn't it! I told my acupuncture lady last week and she said she'd use some needles to cool my body but hasn't worked as of yet. Dreading the menopause now 🤣 It's been a month since my last tablet so hoping it does one soon!

Hi @Crazydoglady123 how are you feeling now? Hope the hot flushes have stopped.

What time of day did you take the tablets? I had flushes at night in cycle 1 (they stopped a couple days after the last pill) and then for cycle 2 I switched to taking the tablet right before bed and didn’t wake up with flushes again. Not sure if switching to nighttime did the trick but could be worth a try if you do go back onto clomid.

@hopefulTTC2021 I did take mine at night. To be fair the last couple of nights have been better so hopefully the "cool me down" acupuncture has helped! Have another session Friday anyway. I hate being hot at night. Even in the summer I still sleep in jumpers 🤣

@Crazydoglady123 glad it’s getting better!
