Can I cut cyclogest pessaries in half

I've been recommended to take 200mg X2 a day after ovulation by Prof Brosens at Coventry. Recurrent miscarriage clinic absolutely will not prescribe and it's sounding like GP extremely unlikely to. However I've got lots of 400mg that I was prescribed after my second miscarriage (didn't work from BFP in third miscarriage, ha). Can I just cut the pessaries in half? Will not have anything sorted for this cycle otherwise as I would need to start taking from Monday. Thanks in advance for any thoughts

Is there a problem if you just take 400mg 2x a day? As far as I know it’s not clinically harmful to. I don’t know if you can cut them in half as wouldn’t the active ingredient inside the wax pour out?

He advises the lower does before a bfp. I don't know if there would be harm but it's not recommend dose. And possibly you're right, I assumed it was solid!

Can you just take one a day instead? Professor Brosens will prescribe them for you.
I'm on 400mg twice a day from ovulation for recurrent miscarriage, so it's not harmful to take a higher dose. Good luck.

Thanks @VenusStar. I am going to send him an email as well and see what he suggests, I guess if I have to I'll just use the 400mg
