Help answer a stupid embryo transfer question?

Does the day an embryo is transferred count as Day 0 or Day 1? I've tried googling and can't find the answer! I'm trying to work out what day is the earliest I can test after a 5 day embryo transfer...

A blast transfer is the equivalent of 5 days past ovulation, most commonly implantation is around 8/9 dpo then time for HCG to rise

Thanks for your help @Lauren83 , much appreciated.

Yes, I read it can take at least 2 or 3 days after implantation for HGC levels to rise enough for even very sensitive testing (so not to test earlier than 11 or 12 dpo or 7 or 8 dp5dt to be safe); but I can't work out if I'm supposed to count the transfer day in my "days past transfer" count or whether the count starts from the day after. I'm probably being very stupid!

@IamnotwhouthinkIam The day of the transfer is day 0 post transfer. The earliest I’ve seen a BFP is 4 days post transfer, but realistically aiming for 7-8 is probably more sensible and some people aren’t positive until OTD.

That makes sense, thanks so much for answering @Gardenlady543. Now I just need to manage to wait!

@IamnotwhouthinkIam I am 8dp5dt in a FET right now I tested daily with FRER from 4dp5dt until 7dp5dt all BFN, drove me insane, got me really upset, I’m going to try and hold off now. Best of luck with it Smile

There's a site countdowntopregnacy.com that's shows you chance of getting a true result at each DPO (or DP5DT)

Thanks @Gardenlady543. I really hope things go better for you on your actual test day. I'm at 6dp5dt and really scared to test before I'm supposed to because of the potential heartbreak, but also very curious/tempted because for the first time ever (in multiple failed IUI's and a previous failed IVF transfer), I have had what I think was implantation cramps and spotting/bleeding on day 3.

Thank you @Lauren83 -I'm off to look up that site now!
