IVF - How did you feel after tigger shot?

Hi everyone,

Currently on my first round of IVF and have egg collection scheduled for tomorrow. Did my trigger shot last night (250mcg ovitrelle) and today I'm getting funny twinges in both my ovaries and feeling nauseated. Just wondering if this is normal? I have 7 goods sized in my left ovary and 8 in my right (ranging from 22 to 14 - but mostly around 17/18 yesterday)

Wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar

Could the nausea be nerves instead? I didn't have any noticeable side effects from my trigger (but it wasn't Ovitrelle). Hopefully someone else can help.

@Pineapple851 I was uncomfortable before the EC because of the size of my ovaries. So it may be that? I mean the trigger is hcg, so it can cause nausea probably, only thing I noticed was a bit of a weird taste in my mouth.

I take it your clinic isn’t worried about OHSS, as that can cause similar symptoms.

I felt slightly nauseas for a couple of days before EC. It went away afterwards. I put it down to the hormones x

I had ovitrelle and didn’t feel any side affects
How did I egg collection go ? x

Thanks @sara279 - things need to be settling now so maybe hormones like you say, and the side effects of hcg. I've been pregnant twice before (both mc) and the metallic taste was exactly the same as I felt then now I think about it.

@shazzz1xx - been a rollercoaster. Had low AMH and AFC of 5 (had previously been 11/12) so advised likely low egg count. Then gradually AFC increased to 16 during stims. Collected 12 eggs yesterday, 8 mature, but only 4 fertilized so feeling about down about it all now. Just have to wait and see and keep everything crossed for next update from embryologist

Both my cycles only 5 eggs collected and only 1 fertilised both time
My girl is now 19month old dancing in front of me now x

Wow! That's amazing! You are proof that it only takes one egg!
Really hoping one of my 4 little guys decides to stick it out!
