Covid vaccine and IVF funding

Hi
My first question on Mumsnet! I'm hoping someone may be able to help.
I've recieved approval for IVF NHS funding and can begin my first treatment cycle this month. I queried that I had recieved my first dose of vaccine and they initially said that it wouldn't be a problem to delay treatment until after the second dose in April. They said it would be my choice.
Today when I asked for confirmation that the delay wouldn't affect funding they said they don't have a covid vaccine policy and would need to check the length of time from funding approval to treatment needing to commence. I can't find any information on the internet about the guidance around this. I also don't know if there is anything to support my decision to wait just a couple of months to recieve the second dose.
Thanks

Hi,

I just wonder if you got any answers?
I've not had the vaccine but have delayed within the time frame due to CoVid.
Hope all goes well.

I called the clinic and they said no probs taking the vaccine today. I went for the vaccine and the nurse asked if I am planning on having a baby in the next 3 months. I said yes she said one has to wait Angry

@sabzino I was asked the same on the phone prior to appointment and was told to ask my GP about getting it. Long story short I ended up getting it and deciding to say no if asked again as the change in advice hadn't been updated and figured the fertility clinic could advise better.

I had the vaccine 3 weeks ago. I just said no when I was asked if I was planning a pregnancy in 3 months. I knew the advice had changed but the staff hadn't been given updated info. I'm about to start my first IVF cycle in a few weeks. My 2nd dose is due in the TWW so I will defer it. If it works I will delay the 2nd dose and if it doesn't then I'll rebook.
I can't imagine a 2-3 month wait will make a difference to finding unless you go over the age limit for your CCG.

Thanks for your replies
It turns out my local ccg won't allow having the covid vaccine (in my case the second dose) as a reasonable excuse to delaying treatment. I fortunately still need to have a thyroid checked and complete paperwork so they are going to record those reasons as to why I haven't started treatment yet if ccg does question it.
When I had the vaccine I did say I was planning IVF in the future but didn't say anymore as I didn't want to be denied it. Personally I think it's choice but I know they have to argue for the lack of knowledge they have around the vaccine and TTC.
