Cyst found after period post egg retrieval - is this normal?

HI all

Was hoping for some advice. We're ttc 2 years and had a successful first round of IVF before Christmas with 3 blasts on ice.

My period came as normal after but my second period has been delayed by about 10 days.
I had a scan today and they've found some follicles and cysts on my ovaries and that's delaying my period
I'm struggling to understand what this means. Is this something that normally happens after IVF?

I would never have suffered from cysts before and have very regular cycles.
The bit that's confusing me the most is that I already had a period after the egg collection so wouldn't that have washed out any follicles?

Any help or advice would bre really appreicated!

The cysts are most likely corpus luteus cysts left over from your egg collection. It's normal to develop them both naturally as a consequence of ovulation and also following IVF. I had them and had to abandon my next IVF egg collection (was doing back to back cycles for embryo banking) and I think my period was 11 days late that time.
They had all gone by the next month
