How many of your embryos made it to day 5?

Hi all.
I had egg collection yesterday. I had mild OHSS and a soaring oestrogen level so was given a buserelin trigger and told I was on a freeze all cycle.

We got 23 eggs which I thought was great, but then had a call to say only 11 were mature and 6 fertilised. I'm a bit gutted with this, not sure whether I should be or not! I had quite a traumatic stimming phase and egg collection so was hoping I'd never have to go through it again 😬

Did anyone else have 6 eggs fertilised and have a decent amount/nah to freeze? Xx

8 fertilised
5 made it to 5 day blastocysts (A/A/B/C/C)

How did you get on @roxyfoxy89 hope you had some that made it to day 5. will you do a fresh or frozen transfer? xx

Hi all, so I've got two embabies in the freezer 👍considering I had 23 eggs retrieved I was upset at first, but at one point it looked like we may end up with none! So now I'm over the moon. They're both good quality too. Now comes the long wait for my FET!

We only got 6 eggs retrieved and I was worried even more so when we were told 4 were mature and 3 fertilised. Amazingly all 3 that fertilised made it to day 5. We are currently in the 2ww with 2 having been transferred and one in the freezer.
Please don’t dwell on how many you get at collection. We are very lucky to have us 100% of our fertilised eggs make it to day 5 but it can happen and it really is true that you only need one good egg. Good luck to anyone reading this who’s going through the journey.

6 collected, 5 mature, 2 reached day 5. One resulted in a pregnancy.

I was super upset as I thought 6 was not that many but it only takes one!

8 eggs retrieved but only 2 fertilised and 1 wasn't suitable for freezing. Currently in the TWW with a 4CC 🤞🏻🤞🏻
