Ivf and SN toddler

Hi everyone this is a repost from the SN thread since I think it was on the wrong place there.

I’ve got a little boy (2,5yrs old) and had him through ivf. He’ll be 3 in the summer and we hopen to have nr2 already actually but due to the pandemic it wasn’t possible to have ivf.

Did anyone go through ivf while having a SN toddler? How was it for you and how did you manage the stressful time of going through the whole thing?
I know I rested tons and tons while having the medications and slept a huge amount as well but I find it hard to see it happening at this point especially since I’m up nearly every night with my son.

I’m 34 now and my DH is 35 and we’re having a male fertility problem. I’d rather not wait till next year what my DH is saying with COVID and vaccines and all but I’m not sure about it either.

Any comments are really hugely appreciated

Is your DH willing to take over looking after the SN toddler?

@LouiseTrees Yes the nights and partially in the afternoon but that’s it. My DS Goes to nursery in the morning and that’s it at the moment

Do you have any other help available like family who could look after your toddler?

@LouiseTrees not really, we’re planning to have ivf around May or June and because our son is autistic he finds it hard to be somewhere else but home
