Anti-Sperm Antibodies

Hello Everyone,

Thought I would come on here to see if anyone can help with their experiences with Male Anti-Sperm Antibodies.

So a brief overview:-
I'm 41, my partner is 44 and we've been trying for about 2 years.
I have two children from a previous relationship, however I suffered testicular cancer when I was 27 and later had a Vasectomy (and then reversal some years after).
We have tried one round of IVF with ICSI which unfortunately didn't work, but due to the expense we're looking at ways I can naturally improve my sperm.
So far I know:-
Reduce Weight
Reduce heat in the area
Exercise
No smoking and drinking (thankfully I don't do this).
Eat a healthy diet.

I have done a sperm analysis which showed I have 85% antibodies, but I'm going for another to see if anything has changed in the last year.

I've been researching into scientific papers regarding these Antibodies and Motility (since 63% of the antibodies I have are on the tail of the sperms), I have found one talking about how reducing my BMI and taking Vit C has a significant effect (but I need to find independent papers verifying this).

Anyway, any insights to what others have done and tried, we would love to hear about. Hopefully there's something we have missed or I can do.

Thank you for your time in reading this, we appreciate you replies.
Two hopeful parents.

Hi Neogame

My partner had a sperm analysis in Oct 20’ which showed 100% anti sperm antibodies (he hasn’t had a vasectomy or ever damaged his testicles to his knowledge)

In April 21’ he had an analysis with a different hospital and they came back as 32 million with 0% anti sperm antibodies

I feel wary that this can change so drastically in a year but also it’s so hard to find info on the subject - did you have any luck? We’ve been TTC for 1.5 years all the tests and I’m on ovulation medication to help and nothings worked.

Thanks

We had a similar experience. 100% anti sperm antibodies and told it meant we'd never get pregnant naturally. Had a baby through ICSI.
Went to a difffernt clinic 3 years later to try for a sibling and they said antibody level was 25% and not an issue. Said maybe they'd cleared up if he was on a course of antibiotics for something else. No idea really! DH didn't do anything drastic. Cut down alcohol (was not a heavy drinker anyway), ate a handful of walnuts and went for a walk everyday, took conception vitamins. In saying that, we haven't gotten pregnant naturally but i am 43 so that's probably the issue at this stage

Hi @Neogame I’ve not come across anti sperm antibodies but my husband did have issues with motility. Our consultant recommended he take Proxeed vitamin sashay which has, over time helped improve semen quality. We order them online. Might be worth speaking to your dr to see if something similar could be suitable to take.
Wishing you all the best!
