Stuck right ovary

So I have been informed that my right ovary is stuck behind my uterus due to a fibroid, as a result it will be very difficult to retrieve eggs from this ovary which may then lead to OHSS.

Has anyone been told similar and still been successful with IVF? I am feeling so disheartened as I was really looking forward to starting IVF and having a chance to get pregnant but now I feel as if I am back at square 1

My left ovary is stuck to my uterus due to scar tissue from a c section. It just meant that they had to push a bit harder on my abdomen to get it to move which they can obviously do when your asleep. Also sometimes they can go through your uterus to get it. BUT not sure NHS would take the same approach compared to a private clinic

I have the same issue with my left ovary which is stuck somewhere due to c section adhesions. I was like you warned that it might not be able to collect eggs from left ovary, I had multiple scans during stims and it was very hard to find it/ see it/ measure follicles. At the end it was all fine at egg collection. I don't know yet if we were sucessfull or not.

Oh that's great that they were still able to access it @Doremifasol did they have to go through your uterus to reach the ovary?

I have my fingers crossed that you get your BFP soon x
