Decaf coffee

Due to have an embryo transfer next week hopefully, I would like to not drink coffee during the tww. I only drink 1 small cup in the morning anyway but wondering if it'd be okay to drink decaf instead ?

I think it would be fine. I had decaf coffee throughout my cycles plus a couple of cups of normal tea a day. Never noticed any adverse impacts. Full fat milk might help too.

Thst would be preferable! Good luck

Just make sure it's the Swiss water decaf process, which doesn't use chemicals :)

@Luz192 what's that? I clicked this thread as looking into caffeine alternatives too. Are the pods OK or not? A friend told me not as the hot water touches the plastic which might have chemicals in, but not sure if that is true.

Good luck @isitokay - I think if you just do everything you can then you know you have given it your all and if you have a BFP that is amazing and wonderful, and if you don't then you know you gave that embryo every chance. I hope it goes well. It's so scary isn't it? But potentially really brilliant.

@theotherfossilsister to decaffeinate coffee, most brands use chemicals. Which is no bueno. The Swiss water method uses.. water. Which is of course much safer. So you'll have to check for the brand you're thinking of what method they use (will likely be on their website or the packaging if they use the swiss water method). Right now I'm drinking one from a brand called Equal Exchange - you can order it from Holland & Barrett.

We have an espresso machine and I use Decadent Decaf, which is Swiss Water processed. It makes a reasonable cup of coffee. I find Decaf coffee much more palatable than decaf tea!
