IVF Clinic Recommendations

Hi all,

I am just beginning researching into fertility clinics for IVF treatment. My husband and I have had baseline tests done and have been told we have unexplained infertility.

We are based in Wales but would be willing to travel if need be.

Depending on where you are in Wales I can't recommend CRGW in Llantrisant highly enough xxx

Thank you for your reply. That was one of the clinics we were looking at. So it's reassuring that is the first recommendation that popped up. Did you have treatment with them recently?

I had a three round multicycle package in 2018. The second round resulted in my twins who are now 20 months old from a fresh transfer, and I'm currently almost 16 weeks pregnant with a frozen embryo from that same cycle. We didn't need the third round obviously. You do lose any rounds remaining once you've had a live birth but that is pretty standard for multicycle packages I believe. The price was excellent - the three rounds cost us less than a single round would have in many clinics, and many optional extras that cost a lot of extra money in most clinics are used as standard with no extra cost at CRGW, e.g. Embryo glue, assisted hatching, embryoscope. They also (at the time, don't know about now) had some of the best success rates for my age (40)in the country and we were given a 15-20% chance of success where other clinics were saying 9%.

Only thing I would add is that my AMH, FSH, AFC etc. were very good for my age - I'm not sure how they do with people with low AMH compared to clinics that specialise in this but you said your tests looked OK so I presume this isn't an issue.

Thank you for the information. That's great to note. They are our favourite based off our research at the moment. No glaring problem we have been told. A few borderline results but they have improved with a change of diet/lifestyle.

Congratulations! Sounds like you've had a positive experience.
