Cycle two after egg collection - late!!!

Had an egg collection back in late November and did a freeze all. Period came 10 days after collection and my OHSS has cleared up. I'm now waiting on my period to arrive so we can get on with our first FET. I'm about four days later and getting super frustrated which is probably not helping! My cycles can be a little variable but just wondered if anyone else has experience of their cycle being a unusual after an egg collection.

I'm in this position now after my second egg collection, but currently only 1 day late.

After my first egg collection, my period was 5 days late and i am always very regular. Usually 26 days, but it became 31, so i'm expecting the same this time around. So frustrating, but don't worry, it's very normal.

Thanks for the reassurance @IslandStars much appreciated! I guess it's not surprising that injecting a ton of hormones is doing to disrupt your body's routine. Just annoying when you want to get on with things.

I found that after an IVF cycle, ovulation was 5 days later than usual for the next two cycles, meaning that AF was also 5 days late. Things went back to normal after that 😊

Mine was 7 days late too. Bizarre, i was desperate for it to arrive so i could begin my next IVF round!

I'm 7 days late on my first 'proper' period after failed cycle and getting frustrated too!

Thanks everyone, super glad to see I am not alone in this. I was beginning to think maybe there was something wrong with me. Even if its frustrating I'm relived to see this is a common experience.

I was exactly the same before our FET and ended up being 8 days late. I remember never being happier to get my period All the waiting is definitely so frustrating! Thinking of you x

I had a fresh cycle in November which was unsuccessful, the bleed started from 8dp5dt and was in full swing from 11dp5dt. I tracked my cycle after, my ovulation was 7 days later than usual and all in all my cycle was 8 days longer than usual, my cycles are usually 30 days long and are regular. I think this is quite normal after a fresh cycle. It was frustrating me too, I’m having FET in this cycle so I just wanted to get on with things, I’m day 2 of FET now.

Came on today, 9 days late! Longest cycle ever! Xx

Just for anyone else that finds this thread - 14 days late in the end after the egg collection cycle Thought it would never come and it was probably one of the most frustrating things in this whole cursed endeavor. Did a pregnancy test in the end and the clinic were going to do a scan next week if it has still not come. Sods law it turned up the day after doing the test and booking the scan.
