Nightshift and IVF

I'm due to start IVF in February and mostly work nightshifts. I was wondering if anyone had any experience of this and if they had any tips/things they wish they'd known.

I don't have experience with IVF but with my other healthcare appointments, when I've been nightshift I've asked for appointments either first thing in the morning or at the end of the day - that way I can still get a reasonable sleep during the day.

Second what @scirocco said about appointments, I no longer do night shifts luckily but a few other suggestions might be:
Timing meds before/after the shift so you take them a similar time each day
For some meds need to drink plenty so keeping a water bottle close by

Thank you both. @Roo45 glad I'm upping my water again then, usually good about drinking plenty but had slipped into lots of tea instead.

I had 2 boxes of my ivf meds so left one box in my locker for my pm doses X

I had all 5 cycles while working nights

To me a lot less stressful as could work a shift. Have early app then go to bed

Much easier then taking time off work rep if don’t want anyone to know at work doing ivf

Thank you for the tip @Nobunintheovenyet

@Blondeshavemorefun that's what I thought originally but was overthinking and wondering if I was missing something obvious. That's reassuring that you've done it and found it less stressful.

Only advice I'd give is to put alarms on your phone for all medication times so you don't get distracted working and miss/delay one. I worked different shift patterns so couldn't get into a rhythm.
