Hiya! Which Care clinic are you at?

strawberrysummer19 · 26/02/2021 21:18

Ah we had to leave as they just were so incompetent!! We went with London women's clinic and omg they are fantastic

Oh no that's not ideal! Was it a London one? We are starting with Care Northampton but have been with their satellite clinic in Milton Keynes before that so hoping Northampton are as good. We haven't done IVF before though.

strawberrysummer19 · 26/02/2021 22:22

Honestly it was such an unorganised system! No not London, but not yours either
Don't want to name and shame as don't feel thats fair but would say If someone needed to know. As I wish someone told me
Wrote this before we changed clinics
It was a pain but so glad we did
So happy with lwc
How far into the process are you?
We are just waiting on nurses consultation hoping to start April
Same here - first ever cycle x

Argh! I've just had a consultation with care a few days ago and feeling a bit nervous. My clinic is in birmingham. They get such mixed reviews but they also have decent prices in my area.

strawberrysummer19 · 19/03/2021 07:49

@Babybana16 I would take the reviews as a pinch of salt....just bear in mind the criticism
Don't base your whole decision around it

I wouldn't be put off my clinic now London women's clinic now even though I didn't get great feedback on here and read some bad reviews....
To be honest I just wasn't feeling it with care
Our consultation was shocking and ended up having a second one as I mentioned to the nurse the consultation wasn't great but the manager was great and was really wanting to help...a second consultation was suggested and resulted in us being a little happier but admin mistakes after that and just feeling like ' what is going on now ' just made us leave and we ended up getting a refund of our consultation as they agreed the service wasn't very good !
The new clinic are amazing and you really need to have the wow factor and feel like you're getting cared for
That's my opinion anyway
If you're feeling generally happy, informed about what happens next and you feel like you're being taken care of then go for it
If not....then seek ways to get that feeling because i think it's so important to have that
Everyone is different and I didn't think I'd want that fluffy care etc and didn't care if I did feel
Like I was on a conveyer belt! But I've changed my mind, after all we are going through I do want good customer care. Like my boyfriend said if they can get so many things wrong what else can they do down the line when things really matter? These are just the small things
But like I say mine wasn't Birmingham
I only want to be honest and make sure people don't have the experience we did
But at any point if you do, it's not hard changing clinics in fact very easy

Good luck with everything xx

By the way I also went with care because of price but then found a sister clinic that ended up being cheaper as we were told we needed icsi when we didn't! So we've actually saved money. But the icsi Mis sold well that's another story

Hi there, I'm going back to Care to try for a sibling after they helped us get our DD from 4 rounds of IVF. I've found them nothing short of excellent. The consultations, clinicial and emotional support has been great. Good luck with your upcoming cycle!

elsaesmeralda · 21/03/2021 20:57

@strawberrysummer19 hi can I ask how you realised you didn't need icsi?

elsaesmeralda · 21/03/2021 20:57

@strawberrysummer19 also was this a clinic in the midlands ?

strawberrysummer19 · 22/03/2021 07:35

@elsaesmeralda hi, sure
Care said we needed it as my AMH is on the low side (5.6) I'm 38 so it's borderline not particularly low just that it's that low for my age
My partners sa is perfect so we were confused why we needed icsi but they couldn't give us an explanation or we didn't understand the explanation

Our new clinic didn't agree that icsi was the right route for us as my partners sa is fine !
I can only think maybe for my low AMH but they did not agree on that so we were advised against icsi

No, not in the midlands x
