Hi,
I just need to vent really I've got PCOS and I had a missed miscarriage in august last year discovered by ultrasound scan at 9 and a half weeks. Me and my partner have been TTC for around a year and a half now. I know that some people have been trying much longer and before this my periods were every 35-45 days long! But since my missed miscarriage I'm now on days 135 with no signs of a period I've done about a million pregnancy tests at this point which are all negative. My GP seems to think that she can't refer my to gyno yet as I need to not have a period for 6 months for her to do that, this is all getting rather frustrating! I'm sure seeing that everyone and their dog is pregnant on social media and when getting my daily walk isn't really helping me lately!

I was sorry to read about your missed miscarriage and hope that you received and still received support as and when you both need it.

You will need to be persistent and furthermore be assertive. Do not be fobbed off by made up criteria from what appears to be a GP not up to date.

Speak to another GP within the practice or change GP surgery. You should be referred (there is no criteria about not having a period for six months in order to be referred). Read the NICE guidelines and quote them at these people. You have PCOS too, yet another reason to be referred.

Veritys website on PCOS is also very informative.
