We've just got my OHs sperm results back. He has a high count, 50million. But his motility is low at 18% and morphology even worse at 1%.

Has anyone else had experience with this? Has anyone got pregnant naturally? How about via IVF?

My husbands count was a little low but his motility was good. His morphology came back at 0% which sounded very alarming and it was mentioned that we might need icsi. He was scheduled another test 3 months later and told to take proxeed in the meantime to try and improve the quality. He never made it to the next test as I fell pregnant naturally within 2 months and now have a healthy 14 month old! (this was after a year and a half of trying). Obviously I can't say for certain it was the proxeed, it could also have been luck as sperm can vary massively from sample to sample. Has your DH been tested before?

Thanks @MrFlibblesEyes that's good news. He's only had one sperm test so I am hoping that it's a blip. He's going to see a urologists too so hopefully they will recount.

We are experiencing simular issues, other half's sperm count is slightly low and morphology is 1%, we have been referred to the fertility clinic and im waiting for the letter with an appointment, im sure it will be a long wait due to covid and feeling disheartened about it all! This success story has given me some hope that it might happen naturally in between, @MrFlibblesEyes did you ever get to the fertility clinic? If so, what can I expect? Thank you both for sharing

@Keeptrying12 no we never got that far. Our gp did the initial consultation and took my bloods etc and DH had to take his sample to the hospital for analysis (we live very close) but they just scheduled him an appointment for 3 months later to do another sample as there can be so much variation between samples. Good luck, I really hope it happens naturally for you in the meantime!

Thank you! We had the same, where by his doctor said we need to do a re-test to make sure but my doctor said he can still refer anyway because I've had all the tests I need which is good news as they aren't doing any more tests for the foreseeable future. I can imagine the appointment coming through and being months and months away though! Thank you for sharing your positive story, helps with hope!

Similar issue here. We had successful
Ivf with ICSI. Funded on the nhs. Worked first tIme

If that is the only issue, you stand a good chance of successful ivf
