Hi has anyone got any information or success stories with blastocysts day 6 or 7. I have a frozen embryo (blastocyst either day 6 or 7 I can’t remember it was all a daze at the time) just wanted to know anyone’s stories. There is little information out there but from reading blastocyst after day 5 haven’t been a thing for that many years. Please correct me if I’m wrong like I say I can’t find much information.

Hi @Hieveryone18 - from my understanding, day 6 blastocysts have a success rate similar to those at day 5 as long as they are frozen transfers. (They have a poorer rate if fresh, because the woman’s body is often not right for transfer at day 6 - from frozen this obviously isn’t an issue).

I know less about day 7 but I believe day 7 blastocysts are not considered as strong. But probably depends on it’s grade by day 7, not sure though.

Wishing you lots of luck 🤞🤞🤞

I'm pregnant with twins one of whom is a day 6 blastocyst. They have the same success rate if a day 5 but they do have to be frozen and put back at what would be considered 5 DPO

Day 7s have a much smaller success rate and not many clinics in the UK will let them go to day 7 for that reason.

Hello, I have a one year old DD from a frozen day 6 blast. Had a chemical with fresh day 5 in same cycle. Good luck :)

@Galgal15 @ivfbeenbusy @Shamoo thank you for the information I have a telephone consultation next week so they can explain to me more about my embryo. Thank you for the positive stories too that really helps so much
