NHS IVF in Surrey

Hi there, I've recently moved to Surrey and would appreciate any info from people who've had NHS IVF here. I was on a waiting list for IVF in London before our move but hadn't made it to the 3 year mark when we will be eligible for funding.

My new GP has referred me and I've been allocated an appointment at The Royal Surrey. I've checked the HFEA website which suggests they don't do IVF there. I had requested referral to Care Woking who seems to do both NHS and private IVF but the very nice NHS admin lady who rang me didn't know anything about this and had been told to book me at the Royal Surrey.

I'm hoping that after my initial appointment at the Royal Surrey they will send me along to Care Woking for when I can finally get NHS funding? Has this happened to any of you?

Hi @bicyclesandbeyond sorry not particularly helpful, but we are being referred to Woking for NHS funded treatment and I was wondering if you had yours there in the end? Hoping to start next month x

Hi @Frenchie86 thanks for the message. We ended up getting lucky with a private round in London which we did while we were waiting for the Surrey NHS funding to go through. I did have a consultation with Mr Curtis though who is the Consultant at Care Woking who looks after NHS patients. He seemed great, as did the whole team. I think you'll be in good hands - wishing you the best of luck x
