Choosing an IVF clinic in London - CRGH/ARGH/Kings/...?

Hi folks, I'm looking for your advice, experience or recommendations.

I have had one fresh and one FET cycle with the NHS (UCL/CRGH). Both failed to implant. So I'm now considering where to go for next steps.

I'm 41, our issue was MFI (now treated), I have good AMH/FSH levels. I responded well to stims, and got 3 good quality blasts from my fresh round. So it's likely egg quality is the biggest issue.....

I have one embryo still frozen, but think I should get more eggs out whilst I can! I think I have one fresh cycle left in me, so I want to make it count. I'm considering PGS options, given my age.

CRGH did my collection and transfer, so was tempted to go with them as I know them, and liked what I saw. They get great HFEA stats. But I've read some scathing reviews. Keen to hear other people's experiences!

I would also consider the ARGH bootcamp - but not sure if I'd get all the benefit - given my levels etc are all pretty good. Or am I thinking about this the wrong way?

Any advice or shared info would be so welcome! It's a bit of a maze to navigate this all!

Hi 👋 I’ve just cycled with argc and felt very safe in their hands for my first ivf . They inspired confidence . I felt my follies were constantly being fine tuned to get the max out of them ! I have the opposite to you , low amh , af etc which means they had to pull out the stops to try to help me. I ended up with 7 eggs retrieved and two blasts , one has tested normal . I had a couple of other blasts too by day 7 but not suitable for freezing . I thought it was impressive considering I had 3 follicles for most of the first week and they kept adjusting drugs and magically I had doubled by ec. I was also impressed they refunded our icsi money as decided to do ivf after looking at sperm quality ( so not just grabbing money) I’m torn at the moment as really want to cycle with them again to bank more normal embryos but it costs a lot for me as realistically to find another normal one I’ll probably need another couple of cycles. I’m not reluctantly looking for somewhere that does banking . An interested in crgh which has similar stats . Like you bit worried about poor reviews although I’ve found equal numbers of glowing reviews ! I think they seem to have mainly admin issues x

I've just done a second NHS round with CRGH and have one more round left if needed. If I have to fund further cycles privately then we might look about. However I do trust CRGH clinically although I agree their admin isn't great and you have to be really on top of your menstrual cycle otherwise months will roll by. On balance if we have to pay for any rounds then I'll probably stick with them, although we are doing ivf for genetic reasons so it isn't as straightforward to switch clinics.

@msgloria how do you mean about staying on top of your menstrual cycle? Don’t you just start stimms from day 1 of AF ? X

@Sunshinelove8 so with CRGH I have to start a prep month with Norothisterone on day 14 of my cycle. You need to be on the ball when arranging appointments as if you turn up on day 15 for an appointment to discuss getting started, they will make you wait until the next day 14. Whereas if you'd pushed for an earlier appointment on day 12 say, they'd let you start on day 14 of that same cycle. Hope that makes sense! I just mean that you need to be on top of your cycle and pushing for appointments at the right times.

We are looking at CRGH for IVF. Has anyone had any experience with CRGH? Which consultant would you recommend? We want someone used to treating women in their late 30's with good outcomes.

Has anyone been treated by Jara Ben Nagi?

All advice welcome!
