Pcos , & pain in the bum periods !! Help please...

Here goes ......
Over the past 8 months my periods have been bang on time , appeared every month thanks to metformin .
However the past 2 months they have not shown up. I’ve done 4 pregnancy tests and they are all negative .

I’m wondering why this may be ?
I have had a lot more hair growth under my chin over the past 2 months . May this indicate I’ve developed more cysts ?

What dosage are you on? Do you think you need to go up? I was told they take it up if your periods are still irregular/go haywire

I got told to double the dose today. So 4 tablets instead of 2 ?
Is this ongoing ? I’m guessing metformin will be long ?

So if there 500mg you'll now be taking 2000mg? It's quite a high dose so should get things back on track. I take 1500 and my periods are now every 28 days bang on
You might find the side effects ramp up taking a higher dose, I got a terrible stomach but it's settled down now took like 2 months though!

Yes always had irregular periods, then after having my ds they sorted themselves out, and then a couple of years later went completely haywire.
Metformin has really helped me. I've also lost weight which I believe helps to regulate your periods.

My periods went from being like clockwork every 30 days to being 50-60 day cycles. Upped my metformin from 1000mg to 2000mg a day and it's sorted me right out!

Thankyou ! Hopefully it will do the same for me , why does pcos mess up you’re cycles when there on track 🙄
