St Mary’s or Care Fertility for IVF ?

Hello all
This is my first post.... but after TTC for two years, I have finally been referred for IVF on the NHS. My consultant has asked me which clinic I would like to be referred to - St Mary’s or Care Fertility. Would anyone have recommendations for either? I know St Mary’s is world renowned, but I’m worried about the waiting times for treatment ( I’m 41) & whether time wise it would be better to be referred to Care Fertility.
Thank you in advance :)

I meant to say they are both Manchester based.

I've recently been referred to Care Fertility in Chester and have been told that I'll start in January due to there being no long wait times (they have stayed open throughout). I expect their Manchester clinic would be the same. Perhaps try to call St Mary's and see what their wait times are?

I would highly recommend Care in Manchester. We have had two lots of treatment there and they have always been brilliant. The staff are lovely and very helpful and you feel like you're in very good hands! Good luck with it all!Smile

Thank you @CurbsideProphet. I called my dr & he said it tends to be longer wait time for St Mary’s so that information helps with my decision.

Care Manchester were my satellite clinic for egg collection and transfer and I have nothing but praise for them. Hope that helps reassure you.

Hello.

My DH and I paid for a package at Care fertility in Sheffield last year which resulted in the successful live birth of our son this year.
The clinic were excellent and truly throughout and compassionate. The only issue I had was that in Sheffield, Care fertility does not offer anything other than a local numbing agent for the egg retrieval and I found it quite painful. I’m told other clinics offer to put you to sleep so if that is a factor for you id definitely shop around

@Sarah93advice great to hear happy news - congratulations. Thank you for your response :)

@Sarah93advice Care Manchester did my egg collection under sedation (I don’t remember anything about it) maybe it varies between the Care clinics?
