Have I got PCOS?

Just been to see a private gyny because my doctors were doing nothing to help me.
Had a scan and gyny said left ovary looks polycystic. I even saw the circles on my ovary on the scan and was shocked.
I have regular 28-30 day periods

I have to have a day 21 blood test then another blood test during my period

So from what she's said, I have PCOS right? I feel sick and worried as I'm TTC currently

You can still get pregnant having pcos. If you have regular periods .
I also have pcos but have no periods ! So that’s a positive start for you. 🙂

I was told I have polycystic ovaries when I did IVF recently -- but we're having treatment for male factor infertility. I've never had any issues with my periods and all my blood tests came back clear, and would never have known if I wasn't already going through IVF probably.

Sorry, what I'm trying to say is that my doctor said you can have polycystic ovaries without having the syndrome!

Many women have a polycystic appearance to their ovaries, but only some of these have the full syndrome.
You need 2 out of 3 to be diagnosed with PCOS: PCO on ultrasound, irregular or absent periods, raised testosterone on blood tests or clinical evidence of this (excess body hair etc). It sounds like you don't meet the criteria for PCOS, and you're in a good position if you ovulate regularly each month.

I'm in a similar situation questioning whether I have it or not.
I have a TSH of 3.7 which I know isn't good for conception. It does seem to fluctuate tho as in the summer it was 2.1. Since my mid twenties I have had excess hair on my face and this led to have electrolysis for years.
I have regular cycles and bleeds and no cysts but do ovulate quite late. I am speaking to my doc next week about results

I was diagnosed with pcos after a scan under fertility with nhs. Always had irregular periods and acne but that's it. My bloods all came back normal

I see what you mean! Your ovary can look polycystic but not actually have PCOS. That's maybe why she said it 'looks' polycystic. I'm being tested for progesterone on day 21 of my cycle to see if I'm ovulating. Then on my next period bleed, I'm being tested for testosterone, fsh, lh , oest, Amh, tv, VitD, prolactin. I don't know what half of those mean Grin

Your fsh and amh are your ovarian reserve

Thanks! I can't wait to see my results!!
