Has anyone had an experience at transfer day where the embryologist wants to put back in an ungraded embryo please?
It was my transfer day today and I had hopes of some of my 14 fertilised eggs getting graded. I was really shocked to hear that all were behind and the consultant wanted to put back in one that was near blastocyst stage. She couldn't grade it because it was behind.. I didn't understand:
A) Why I couldn't have 2 back in if there were none good quality. (They said this could still be good quality which puzzled me more)
B) Why they are putting back an embryo that is slow to develop
Apparently they are looking at the others at day 6 as they could catch up too.
As someone who has had 3 miscarriages before due to the foetus not catching up... I'm left wondering if its been the embryo all along.
Any stories here or thoughts very welcome xx
