Embryo cell development

Hi all,
I posted a few days ago about the high number of immature eggs i had (only 3 out of 10 collected were mature).
Well, we are now on day 3 and just got the call to say the 1 that fertilised is still going.
Its divided into 7 cells which is within the 6-8 range theyd expect.
However the clinic told me that the embryo was behaving strangely and that previously it had divided into 5 cells, then went back to 4 cells before dividing again.
Just wondering has anyone else experienced this?
Have to wait until day 5 when they will call to say whether we can go ahead with transfer. But i just dont know if we'll make it that far :(

If only 1 fertilised out of 10 eggs they shouldn’t be leaving it until day 5, you might loose it.. they should have transferred on day 3.. it’s always best back inside
My day 3 transfer is my now little 16month old chunk asleep at side of me

Good luck with all x

Hi @shazzz11,
Glad to hear your story was successful, always good to hear.

I did ask when my transfer would be when they called to say only 1 had fertilised and asked would it be on day 3. However the embyrologist said they like to wait to 5 days. Being my first round i didn't question this, but i should have.
All i can do now is hope that it lasts till Monday. But the embryologist said on the phone its been misbehaving a bit (his words not mine) so im not holding much hope.
All i can hope for is that if we go through it again, the treatment will be altered sufficiently to get more mature eggs.
