Clomid journey with irregular periods

Hi! Just reaching out to see if anyone has had any experience with or is going through something similar with their Clomid journey. I just turned 40 and am ttc baby #1. I’ve had irregular, long cycles since getting off birth control 2 years ago ( usually between 31-50 days each cycle). I’ve been ttc since I got off bc, but haven’t been successful.

I just finished my first round of Clomid 50mg and I’m now on day 57 of my cycle with 3 negative pregnancy tests. At this point I’m basically losing my mind since this is late, even for me. Hoping for something to help keep me sane as I wait.

Hi @Makeamommyoutofme I'm sorry you've in limbo with this. I haven't had a medicated cycle yet (might in the new year) but from what I've seen on here, it's usual that you're monitored, at least for the first time you use it. Have you had a scan? It sounds like you didn't ovulate this cycle.

Can you contact whoever prescribed it and see if they'll scan you and perhaps bring on a bleed and then monitor you for the next cycle? Might be that you need a bigger dose.
Best of luck x
