Endometriosis - surgery before treatment?

I have PCOS and endometriosis but conceived my son on the first try with clomid 3 years ago. I have just finished my 3rd unsuccessful round of clomid. I know from an MRI in March that my endometriosis is back and quite extensive (with bowel involvement) but luckily there isn't any ovary/tube involvement, and an HSG showed my tubes were clear.

Does anyone have experience of surgery improving their fertility?

If we only have 3 rounds of clomid left to try I want to be in the best shape possible but don't want to put myself through what will be my third operation if it isn't likely to help.

Thank you!

surgery did seem to improve my fertility, i got immediately pregnant after my lap and dye last summer, unfortunately i went on to miscarry, x3 in quite quite succession. that is likely my age but before the surgery i wasn't getting pregnant at all.
