Recurrent miscarriage clinics on hold

I’ve been told by my recurrent miscarriage clinic that everything is paused because of Covid. They have no idea when everything will start up again. I’m on the list for st marys in manchester.

Does anyone have anymore info on this?

I'm sorry to hear that @XjustagirlX
I'm under the Tommy's clinic in Birmingham and they were closed all through the summer and when I had my 4th loss in early October they weren't fully open for clinics but did offer telephone support and helped me transfer to their hospital for medical management as my local hospital epu was offering no care / intervention. They said it was because they were technically classed as research so not a priority but we're working towards reopening.

I hope you're not waiting too long for your appointment xx

I'm a patient of a recurring miscarriage too and should have scans every 2 weeks from getting a BFP - when I next got a BFP I was told no scans were being done due to covid. I had to go private in the end but I do know some clinics were still doing reassurance scans but it's impossible to get steroid treatment as part of miscarriage prevention

I ended up going for private testing as the nhs seemed to have ground to a halt on this side of things . If you have a nice GP and list out what you want tested - mine was prepared to do most of it for me ( she’s lovely) I would have had to wait a month , I had insurance though so did it within a week for minimal cost . If you are looking for testing for mc cause gp could be your first port of call x
