Hi there, I am currently waiting for my fourth early miscarriage to happen - it's the first from a natural conception, the other three were following IVF treatment. I've also had three other rounds of IVF which were unsuccessful. DH and I don't have any other children.
We've discovered that I am positive for antinuclear antibodies, so I have an undefined autoimmune issue (my only possible symptom is hypermobile/'double-jointed' elbows). I have raised natural killer cells and a slightly underactive thyroid, although that doesn't seem to be caused by Hashimoto's. I will be taking hydroxychloroquine and IVIg with my next embryo transfer, as well as methylfolate and clexane to deal with an MTHFR and blood clotting issue.
Is there anyone out there who has had a successful pregnancy with autoimmune issues, and can share their story to give me hope? Things feel almost unbearable at the moment, and I'm starting to wonder if we will ever have children.
Thank you so much x
