Very low AMH

Hi. Earlier this week I went for fertility testing at GCRM. We had been trying for 2 years then just after booking the appointment became pregnant in September. Sadly I miscarried at 6 weeks and we decided to keep pursuing IVF options. I just got my results back last night; my AMH is only 0.5 and I have only 2 follicles. The report says ivf not recommended with own eggs but we don't have our appointment to discuss the results for another week. Is there any hope for us (DH results are normal) or is it time to start thinking about donor eggs? I was not expecting this so soon after actually conceiving and have no idea if low AMH and MC are related. Really feel like I've hit a wall. Thank you.

The testing isn’t cheap but I’m glad I did it and got some indication it wasn’t just egg quality which every doctor before just said to me. Good luck and keep us updated !

I've just received a diagnosis of low AMH for investigations for recurrent miscarriage. Started trying for 2 children when I was 27 and now I'm almost 32. We are massively blessed to have 1 child now but the 3 miscarriages have taken their toll on me and especially our relationship as me and husband are on 2 completely different pages.

Sorry to hear all your struggles, you're amazing women with incredible perseverance xx

My AMH was low when I was 34, and FSH high (not sure of numbers but too low for NHS to treat me as odds were so poor). Then I was retested about 6 months later and it was just over the threshold so my NHS consultant put me on DHEA and lots of other supplements for 6 months, then gave me the maximum dose of stims and we managed to get 2 embryos. One is my daughter and I'm 13 weeks pregnant with the other at the moment after a FET. I know we are very veru lucky, but it can happen.

Hi all.
How is everyone getting on?
I had a laparoscopy done and discovered that I had endo - which was removed. Also found out that my left ovary was stuck behind my uterus (stuck to my bowel), because of endo! Had that fixed and then had another amh blood test done - showing that my amh has doubled to 1.2 PMOL. Must have been the Endo and wonky ovary. Now I’m currently in the TWW of my second month of Clomid and Letrozole combo. Got 4 mature follies this month (24mm, 24mm, 22mm, 17mm). Got 1 more month on modified natural method, then moving to IUI or IVF - depending on counts next month.
Any new success stories out there? Hope you’re all doing okay x

I everyone just read all the comments on here. I just wanted peoples thoughts on silent endometriosis. Not had any reason to suspect endo as I usually have regular periods with very little pain/ cramping. When I was younger (14-18) they were quite painful but they seemed to have fizzled out. I have read a lot about silent endo and low AMH ( mines 0.6 pmol). I also have a high FSH though. Is it worth getting a laparoscopy ?

Thank you in advance ….

@ThashG I would recommend it hun - I had one done for a general check around and that’s how they discovered my endometriosis (silent) and other physical (and solve-able) issues. My amh went from 0.6 PMOL to 1.2 PMOL afterwards. And my follicle count has increased too. My FSH was 16 in Jan.
Push for it if you can!

Hi,
I've just read this thread and I'm sorry to hear of your struggles.
I'm wondering how you've got on since?
I just found out today that I have very low AMH and have taken a lot from the comments in this post. I only have 2 follicles so have been advised to go straight for IVF. This is through create who have been great so far.
