After series of tests I have been told that I am not 'consistently ovulating ' 😔 but my GP will not prescribe Clomid (needs to be done through Fertility consultant apparently and we already have a child so don't have one of those and not likely to) want to know what the heck happens now?? Feel gutted and pretty confused about what I'm even supposed to do? Just accept thatthis won't happen???

Hi - didn't want to read and run.

I was where you are 6 months ago. Blood tests showed no ovulation but as we have no children, referred to NHS fertility clinic. Given the wait list is about 3 years and I'm 39, that's a non starter.

We went private - spent £500 on a couples fertility assessment (which again showed no ovulation), and after a lot of pushing by me, two clinics later I'm now on second month of Clomid with 4 more months supply in the kitchen cupboard.

Not ideal if money is tight, but just letting you know one option and the approximate cost.

I would go back to your Drs. They can still refer you to the hospital even though you have children. They should give you an appointment for free but then I assume you would just pay for any treatment/medication. I don't ovulate either (I need medication) and was lucky to have a DS late last year after a successful IUI. I am sorry you are going through this x
