Following this as in the same boat and hoping for positivity! I’m 3 weeks post op.

I posted a couple of days ago and a lady said she conceived first cycle when she first had it done and it made her ovulate regularly the second time she had it done (though they didn’t conceive due to male factor).

Fingers crossed for you @Lotusflower1990000 x

I also went onto conceive as a direct result of this procedure.

Wondering if you had any updates with covid how long did you wait for the procedure during covid times? I’m told it can take up to 6 months!!!! I really don’t have 6 months :(

Pcosfighter67 · 17/11/2021 11:16

@LethargicButAwesome I was put forward for the op Nov 2019 and because of covid I'm 9 ly now about to have it in 2 days time.

Hi! Wondering whether you could share an update @Pcosfighter67 and @Lotusflower1990000

Lotusflower1990000 · 08/02/2022 08:26

Hi @LethargicButAwesome unfortunately I didn’t conceive after this procedure but I am currently pregnant through IVF in the end we also had male issues so this may have been the reason why I didn’t conceive after the surgery but I would still highly recommend the surgery as it really helped my periods regulate xx

I had a proper period starting 2 days post op so 09/12/21 but haven't had anything since. Have an appointment end of February to see what the operation did in terms of hormone levels and what the next steps are.
One positive is that I'm finding it easier to lose weight and my craving aren't nearly as bad as they were :)

LethargicButAwesome · 08/02/2022 15:20

Hi @Lotusflower1990000 and @Pcosfighter67 thanks for sharing your story, we have been trying for DC 2 for 4.5 years but have always had fertility issues pre DC1 too. Very happy it worked out for you, hope you get to meet your bub soon! Was put forward for drilling last year but only have my op later this month (10 months later!) The nurse said it’s the first one she’s seen in 4 years so a bit nervous as sounds like the op is not that common. Really hopeful, desperate to conceive.

Pcosfighter67 · 08/02/2022 16:05

Good luck ! I waited 2 years for my operation was really frustrating. Coming up to 6 years ttc our first child. Hoping next phase of treatment moves quickly

LethargicButAwesome · 09/02/2022 00:34

Sorry to hear @Pcosfighter67 the pandemic has really screwed is over with wait times. I totally get you in total I would say 7 years of my life hVe been defined with trying to get pregnant. It just takes over everything. I’m trying to lose weight too, always struggled with thyroid and pcos so good your losing it and hopefully this will I’ll help in your ttc journey. Eventhough I haven’t managed to get preggers in all this time, im Low key praying I get pregnant this month so I don’t need the surgery. That hope just keeps you going.

PCOSam22 · 26/03/2022 22:44

Hi.
I went for a laparoscopy, ovarian drilling & D&C on the 14th of Feb 2022. Its been 6 weeks and still no period. Recovery wsnt bad. Had sex a few days later. Hope this procedure will. Have been trying for 5 years and its hard trying to always be positive.

LethargicButAwesome · 26/03/2022 22:57

Best of luck @PCOSam22 my surgery was cancelled due to an emergency case. Following this I caught covid! So had to cancel again :( been waiting 2 years for the procedure now :( just be I understand your pin. We been ttc dc2 for almost 5 years too.

PCOSam22 · 26/03/2022 23:02
