Hi op, there's a chlomid buddies thread on here though I can't tag you as I'm not on it myself. Wishing you the best of luck, I've been where you are and it's tough but worth it in the end. Fingers crossed for you x

@ariettesmall Hi there. I too took my Clomid on Wednesday (CD2) so we are cycle buddies!

This is my second cycle on it so I'm 🤞!

babybumpfor2020 · 06/11/2020 05:45

I'm on clomid, first round last month, waiting for af to show to take round 2 x

whoareyouIwonder · 06/11/2020 12:15

@Jesskir89 I thought so but I looked all around and could not find it

@MimiArm Ahhh how exciting we are exactly the same!

I'm assuming you and @babybumpfor2020 weren't successful in your first round? Did you notice any changes in symptoms or anything?

All I've been told is I need a blood test at day 21 but that's it

@ariettesmall I had a scan on CD15 and it showed a 17mm follicle ready to pop, which was great since all the previous blood tests and scans during the year showed that I didn't ovulate. I'm therefore confident that I ovulated for the first time in a long time last cycle thanks to Clomid.

I had burning twinges in my ovaries (and do also today as well). My consultant said that's good as it means the ovaries are stimulating.

My AF arrived on CD25 (previous pre Clomid cycle was 61 days and I don't have PCOS) and was VERY heavy. I soaked through a tampon and a pad in a few hours which has never happened to me (sorry for the TMI).

What's your background? 😊

whoareyouIwonder · 06/11/2020 13:22

@MimiArm

That's so helpful, thank you. What dosage are you on?

I have PCOS so I only get 2-3 periods a year so I have to take Provera to induce my period before I can take clomid.

TTC for a year and desperately want a sibling for DS

Hi I'm on cycle 2 50mg hopeful for baby no 2. Our first born was also thanks to clomid.

This time around I ovulated on 50mg and clomid reduced my period to 26 days which I've never ever had. Therefore I'd assume we missed the peak ovulation 1st month. 🤞 For month no2. Also used clearblue ovulation sticks to detect the best time.

Good luck to everyone.

MimiArm · 06/11/2020 14:07

@ariettesmall I'm on 50mg. We have been TTC baby no1 for a year (I'm 39 and DH is 37).

Good luck to everyone too!

babybumpfor2020 · 06/11/2020 14:12

Hi, @ariettesmall

Dose was 50mg for 5 days from day 2 of my circle. No obvious 'side effects' maybe hot flushes??

To be honest I didn't think it did anything I had no twinges pain etc. CD13 I had 2 follicles on my right ovary measuring 15mm none on the left, Cd 22 progesterone bloods the results were 44. My fertility nurse confirmed i did ovulate and she was very pleased with the progesterone levels, I have to continue with clomid for 5 months no more tests needed unless I have unusual period length or side effects, or fingers crossed a bfp

I did a test on Wednesday and bfn, I have period cramps and no other symptoms so I think I'm out af is due tomorrow.

Have you started treatment now?

whoareyouIwonder · 06/11/2020 18:21

Ahhh so 50mg seems the general dose then if that's what everyone is on

I wish I could use the ovulation sticks but because I have PCOS they always show a peak no matter what Angry

Feels so weird to actually be able to count day now though as with PCOS I never knew when I would get my next period so feels so weird to know that today is cycle day 4

Still no af but I'm sure she will arrive today or tomorrow, have cramps, temp and heart big drop today! Feeling disheartened 😔

How are you getting on with clomid @ariettesmall

whoareyouIwonder · 09/11/2020 08:52

@babybumpfor2020

Ahh I'm keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for you!

I finished my clomid yesterday so just a waiting game now...the worst part!

Update, af arrived yesterday, 2nd round of clomid started today!
