Positive stories from 3 follicles

Hi everyone,

I've had my last scan today prior to egg collection, I have just 3 follicles that have responded well to the meds & 17 that haven't done much.

I was offered egg collection this Wednesday or to cancel this cycle & start a new cycle but on a higher dosage of Bemfola from the start to encourage more follicles to grow. We've opted to continue with this cycle but feel really deflated.
Has anyone got any success stories with a low amount of follicles?

I got 3 eggs out last year - 2 fertilised and both were transferred this March. I'm now 36wks with one of them ❤️

Wasn't my first go, the previous 2 egg collections resulted in 12 and14 eggs collected on the day but none of the 4 subsequent transfers worked at all. So for me, fewer eggs resulted in my baby.

If I was to have IVF again, I would look at the modified IVF packages where they give lower doses of meds to give fewer eggs. There were no problems with me, I was 35 at the last EC have a good AMH and AFC and no structural problems with my uterus. Nobody could give me any reasons for the previous failures so I now just think that my embryos are better when I'm making less of them

I had an IVF cycle in January where only had 2 but was doing natural modified IVF so knew this could happen. I'm pregnant with twins from those 2 follicles so don't despair - for me fewer eggs meant much much better quality

Hi lovely! Not sure if this helps or not. I'm 30 with a low AMH (4) and low follicle count. I was in the max of my meds. I had 4 follicles on my last scan. I had egg collection on day 15 of my cycle and they got 3 eggs. I was disappointed and hoped I'd have some hiding! 2 of my eggs were mature and fertilised. I'm waiting for my day 5 transfer on Wednesday. I'm hopeful they're good quality because there's so few but who knows!! Xx

4 follicles, 2 eggs, 1 embryo. I bfp and he is now almost 6. It can and does happen.

Few eggs = better quality is a really positive way of looking at it, I'll keep that in mind.
