What next?

Hello all, I was wondering if you could help me (more than my GP this morning!). We have officially been trying for 1 year and spoke to the GP this morning about next steps. I have to have a blood test and he has to go and give a sample.

This is complicated by the fact that my periods have all of a sudden decided to be irregular. So frustrating.

Could anyone help/advise/share experience of what happens next?

Sorry you find yourself in this situation too!
In our case, it was a blood test on Day 21 and an ultrasound for me, as well as semen analysis for my partner (he did that privately because of the COVID backlog). Once those results were in, our GP referred us to a fertility consultant. She sent me for Day 3 blood tests, and some blood tests for my partner to rule out HIV, hepatitis, etc. Once those were in, she referred us to the IVF clinic and we're now waiting for an initial appointment.
In the meantime, I had a HyCoSy privately - not sure if the NHS fertility consultant would have referred me for that or not before the IVF referral.
