Hi ladies,
Me and DH have been TTC for 3 years.
I was referred to the Yorkshire Fertility Clinic who took one look at my weight and told me to kindly eff off until I'd got my BMI down.
Since then, I have been getting pains in my lower belly which have developed over the last 3 months to pains when I go to the toilet.
After much begging and pleading with the NHS, I had 2 ultrasounds which showed I had 2.2cm cysts on my right ovary (not big enough to bother with apparently) and my left ovary was twice the size it should be due to cysts inside and outside.
I was then referred for an MRI and after a 3.5 month long wait for the results (thanks Covid), they came back to me yesterday saying I have endometriosis on my bowel and around my left ovary which has caused my tube to twist and fill with fluid.
They have referred me for a laparoscopy to see how bad it is around my bowel, cut out what they can, drain my ovary if they can, but if my tube can't be untwisted they would remove it.
This whole phone call has left me reeling. How the hell did this happen? And has anyone else been through similar? DH doesn't really understand, he just thinks it's another hurdle to jump, but my head is all over the place.
Don't really know what I'm expecting from this post. Would be just nice to vent to people who have either been through similar or at least understand all of this.
