Hi everyone. Hoping someone can advise as what’s best to do here.
To give a bit of background, I’m two rounds of IVF in, had frozen transfer in July which unfortunately did not work. I have one frozen embryo left to use. My periods are very irregular.
I allowed myself to have a couple of months break In between transfers just so my hormones could level out. So August’s bleed was a proper period. I did not expect to then bleed until October because I normally skip a month due to having one working ovary.
September came and I started bleed, I was fine with this and thought it was best that I allowed my body to do it’s thing. Sorry for the detail, the blood was not like a normal period, it was brown all the way through.
Due to this I expected to bleed again in November, which I accepted. October came and at the beginning of October I bleed again! It was light brown again which was annoying as the clinic have advised I need to be full flow to be able to start treatment again for transfer.
To be fair to the clinic, they booked me in to have the relevant scans as though as I was Actually having FET. However I stopped bleeding completely the next day!
I called the clinic back to cancel and explain what had gone on, they advised to wait until the end of October, if nothing came back they’d book me in for a routine scan.
Yesterday afternoon,, there it was again! I started to bleed and once again it was the annoying light brown stuff that I can’t do anything with. I thought well it’s likely to not mount to anything so won’t bother calling the clinic.
As today has gone on the flow is slightly heavier and I’m getting pains as I normally would, but annoyingly it’s still brown and lightish. The main issue is my clinic is closed today so I can’t call them to discuss what I do now?
What if I’m supposed to take the tablets for FET and I miss my shot again? I’ll then have to wait for another period that isn’t guaranteed!
I do have an emergency number but I’m worried they’ll think I’m being anal and tell me to just call back tomorrow. What would you do? Would you call the emergency number or just wait?
