Secondary Infertility - Success Stories

Hi,

I guess I'm just reaching out after another failed month TTC to get any success stories from secondary infertility couples.

A bit about me - I have a son who is nearly two and we have been trying to conceive our second for over a year with not even a glimmer of hope! My egg reserve test came back normal and hormones normal too.

I have been prescribed Chlomid to try and will be starting this next cycle.

Any stories good or bad would be greatly appreciated :)

I'm in a similar position, one child of 2, trying over a year and no luck yet. My tests came back fine, and my husbands morphology was low but motility and count was normal.

Can I ask why you've been given clomid?

Current child is 2 and 7 months, we've been trying for 18 months including one failed IUI. We started ivf this month and I have my egg collection tomorrow

I have a naturally conceived dd. Been trying for dc2 now for nearly 3 years, including an early miscarriage early on. I have PCO and have had a Fallopian tube unblocked but otherwise unknown infertility. Had ivf - 3 transfers, all negative. Tried clomid etc before ivf but they each created side effects that wouldn't help conception so had to stop. Starting egg collection round of ivf hopefully this week coming.

It took me 3 years, 4 miscarriages 2 ruptured ectopics losing both tubes and 5 rounds of IVF and I'm now 22 weeks with twins. Infertility is shit - hang in there and keep going. We said we'd give up when we could honestly say we had no regrets and there was nothing we could have tried but didn't. Ironically this was a final round of IVF as I was ready to drawn a line underneath it all and move on as a family of 3 x

Struggled with secondary infertility too. DS1 is 2 as well. Was prescribed letrozole (an alternative to clomid) and am now 10 weeks pregnant. Conceived on the third cycle with letrozole. Best of luck x
