FET - medicated vs natural

Hey. Interested in people's experiences with natural and medicated FETs.

I was on the medicated route, but my body didn't seem to absorb the Progynova or the Cyclogest very well, and my lining just got to 7mm.

When I had tests on my natural cycle a while back, all hormones were fine, lining was 9.6mm and progesterone good. I'm really tempted to try this route next time, but wondered if I was missing something because most ppl seem to do medicated?

I did 5 transfers - all non mediated except for the odd trigger shot to get me to ovulate. But My periods and ovulation are like clockwork and I always have triple layer linings of good thickness which is why I've never needed to do medicated FET.

Clinics like to do Medicated so they are in control of things

Thanks @ivfbeenbusy yeah my cycles are regular and I ovulate. My new clinic has suggested natural cycles but I was just concerned because everyone seems to do medicated. That makes sense about the scheduling though!

Hi @PineappleC
Just wondering where you got to with this? I'm doing my 2nd medicated FET at the moment - by CD15 my lining was only 6mm. Like you I don't seem to be responding to the oestrogen. We added patches and more tabs but no change. What did you decide to do next? I've got a final scan on Thursday but am pretty sure the cycle will be cancelled. At that appointment I'm keen to make a plan for what to do next. What did your clinic suggest? x
