IVF clinic rates

Hi - has anyone recently had IVF at HSFC? Their success rates on HFEA look quite low (I know success rates should be taken with a pinch of salt and depends on how strict they are with accepting patients) but theirs look very low... (15% compared with national average of 29%). Places like CRGH and ARGC have very high success rates but (based on reviews) are almost factory like it seems

The clinics you mentioned often have "sister" clinics they move difficult patients/those with lower success rates to in order to maintain the reported high success rates under their main business name so you can't really trust the reported results too much. Plus ARGC will cost about £25k per cycle!

That being said I'd be wary of a clinic with really low reported success rates too? Is that the only one in your area?

Yep I’ve heard that about ARGC, not CRGH though which is interesting. HSFC is not really in my area.. it’s on Harley street so there’s loads in the same area but we did our initial testing there (at the time I was really only looking for the place that did the most comprehensive testing, didn’t even cross my mind that I may need IVF so I didn’t really consider success rates). I’m wary of moving clinics now as I don’t want to have to start tests all over again or massively delay my first IVF cycle. I also quite like the fact that I’ve largely had the same doctor and nurse through my time there so far and all in all I’m quite happy. But the low success rate is concerning me.. I’m planning on asking about it ie. it could be they don’t take NHS patients, or they’re less strict about age, BMI etc. It’s so hard to know what to do!!
