Waiting for results

Hi,

My husband and I have been going through the preliminary investigations into our failure to conceive (1st child for both of us). I've had the day 3 & 21 blood tests and an HSG and he's had semen analysis, all via NHS.

We were told that the results for everything would be discussed in a single appointment once they're all completed. I had the HSG last week, and I just phoned the nurse who is dealing with us to see how we arrange an appointment and I got a message that she's away for 2 weeks. The message said that someone will try to get in touch in the meantime but it may not be possible.

I'm very anxious to hear the results; I know we need the appointment anyway to find out what the next steps should be but I really hate not knowing. Does anybody know if I can request the results without an appointment, either through the hospital or my GP, or do I just need to be patient? I haven't really dealt with anything like this before so I don't know what's reasonable.

Hey, we were referred to the fertility clinic in February and had tests done which took a couple of months. We had to wait 7 weeks for the results. It was hard to wait. I think you just need to be patient as everything needs to be reviewed altogether so they can make a plan. It could cause more anxiety if results are drip fed x
